“A Trauma-Informed Health Coach Transforming Lives Through Gentleness”

About
Tamara Beydoun

Tamara Beydoun is a foremost Somatic Trauma-Informed Health Coach who has transformed the lives of many clients. Her ability to connect with her clients and help them navigate through their trauma has made her a spokesperson for intergenerational trauma, channeling her own experiences to help others.

A Stirring Journey

Her journey began in Lebanon, where she navigated the complexities of being half Lebanese and half Palestinian during times of war. Growing up amidst intergenerational trauma from her mother's experience as a refugee (having left Palestine) profoundly shaped her perspective. Living between Lebanon and other places during unstable times taught her adaptability and the value of cultural diversity. She later pursued a marketing career in London, working in media, hospitality, and tourism, where she developed a passion for human connection.

Before COVID, she embarked on a transformative personal growth journey, addressing childhood and intergenerational trauma. This healing process inspired her to become a Certified Functional Medicine Health Coach, Somatic Trauma-Informed Coach, and Narcissistic Abuse Coach. She says, "My mission is to guide others toward self-compassion, helping them shed limiting patterns and reconnect with their authentic selves, their essence. Life's challenges have taught me to embrace vulnerability as a strength, and this belief shapes my coaching approach."

Her vast expertise is particularly impactful for professionals struggling with boundaries, communication, and overwhelm. Many clients find themselves stuck in patterns of people-pleasing, perfectionism, or victimhood, which can stifle career progression. Through tools like Nonviolent Communication (by Marshall Rosenberg), she helps them reframe challenges and handle difficult conversations gracefully.

She proudly mentions, "We work on cultivating self-awareness, identifying emotional triggers, and using practical techniques to set compassionate boundaries. Clients often find they can approach conflicts constructively, improving workplace relationships and boosting confidence and productivity. By addressing these deeply rooted challenges, they become empowered to advocate for their needs, take on leadership roles, and unlock their full potential. My approach blends emotional insight with actionable strategies to drive sustainable growth."

Communication Style

Tamara is a gentle soul who is a blend of strength and gentleness. She feels that her strength lies in vulnerability, which she views as a powerful tool for connection. Society often equates strength with aggression, but she believes true power comes from authenticity and kindness. An open person, she often shares her experiences, creating a safe space where others feel comfortable doing the same.

Her communication style is deeply empathetic and nonjudgmental. Whether discussing personal struggles or professional challenges, she approaches every conversation with warmth, understanding, and care. She meets people where they are, offering encouragement and clarity. This ease allows her to connect meaningfully, helping others shed their masks and explore their truths confidently and with compassion.

Personal and Professional Breakthroughs

While she has guided many clients to profound transformations, her greatest impact has been on herself and her children. Her growth journey has taught her invaluable lessons, and she has integrated the same into her parenting. Its remarkable result is that witnessing her children set boundaries and articulate their emotions fills her with utmost pride. Their ability to express themselves authentically reflects the work she has done to create a safe and nurturing environment.

When it comes to a large rooster of clients, she has seen incredible breakthroughs, such as individuals reconnecting with suppressed emotions and overcoming limiting beliefs. Her approach equips them with tools for long-term resilience, allowing them to navigate life's challenges, including relationships, with greater confidence and ease. Watching clients embrace their power and let go of dependence on external validation is deeply rewarding.

Life Full of Inspirations

A loving mother, Tamara proudly says her children are her greatest inspiration. They challenge her to grow, question her beliefs, and approach life authentically. Their ability to mirror her personal growth motivates her to continue evolving as a coach and parent.

When it comes to professional inspiration that has made a lasting impact on her career, it is Tara Brach and Kristen Neff. She remarks, "Tara's work on self-compassion helped me embrace my emotions with kindness, even the uncomfortable ones. Kristen's teachings deepened my understanding of self-compassion as a tool for healing. Their insights have shaped my coaching approach, allowing me to guide clients toward self-acceptance and emotional resilience. They inspire me to help others reconnect with their true selves."

Methods and Techniques

Tamara incorporates numerous tools, including guided meditations, nervous system regulation exercises, and journaling. She also uses somatic practices like internal family systems, visualization, tapping, humming, and/or grounding techniques to bring overwhelmed clients into the present moment. A favorite resource is a self-compassion box containing comforting items like a childhood photo or affirmations.

She works on goal-setting tailored to client's needs, ensuring they leave each session with actionable steps. "Somatic awareness helps clients tune into their bodies, recognizing how emotions manifest physically. These tools empower them to regulate their emotions, develop resilience, and embrace their journeys with greater clarity and confidence," she says.

One of Tamara's biggest rewards is that clients leave sessions with renewed empowerment and clarity. Her approach focuses on helping them recognize their choices and strengths, enabling them to navigate challenges confidently, in alignment with their core values and life vision. She helps them build resilience and achieve personal and professional goals by equipping them with practical tools and fostering self-awareness, always aligning with their core values and life vision.

Achievements and Accolades

Throughout her illustrious career, she has been bestowed with many accolades and awards, including being named one of the Top 50 Women Leaders for 2024 by Passion Vista Magazine. She has also contributed to esteemed publications, including G1 Magazine and Brainz Magazine. Additionally, she has been invited as a spokesperson to a prestigious health convention and has spoken on several podcasts.

Challenges and Staying Ahead

Believing in in-person interaction instead of the convenience of virtual coaching, she feels this can limit the depth of connection possible in face-to-face sessions. She says, "Additionally, coaching in English while living in a French-speaking region poses occasional challenges when working with non-native speakers." Despite these obstacles, she adapts by creating a safe and supportive virtual environment. She always expands her offerings to include more in-person sessions, workshop and retreat facilitation, and group programs, allowing her to deliver even greater value to her clients.

She is always learning to stay current with the latest trends and developments, which has become a cornerstone of her practice. She regularly attends workshops, retreats, and online courses led by leading experts in coaching, trauma healing, and personal growth. These opportunities keep her informed about new methodologies and perspectives in my field.

The Future

Regarding the future of her industry, she says, "The coaching industry is moving toward greater integration of emotional intelligence and authenticity. I foresee a shift in addressing gender dynamics, emphasizing the value of both masculine and feminine energies. While empowering women remains vital, supporting men in embracing vulnerability will create healthier relationships and communities."
